SmartBook Training
Welcome to Stars Smartbook. These instructions are in two sections; Login procedures and taking a course. If you have not activated your course click the “Activate Your Purchase” link on the Stars Smartbook homepage to activate your course.
Logging In
- If you are not viewing the Stars Smartbook home page or Login page go to www.starssmartbook.com.
- In the Login boxes enter your:
- Institution Name
- Login Name
- Password
This information will be provided when you activate your course.
- Click the Login button.
The Stars Smartbook “My Classes” page will open. On the “My Classes” page you will see a list of the course or courses in which you are enrolled.
Taking a Course
- Click on the title of your course.
- The course syllabus will open. On the syllabus page you will see an Introduction, Lessons, and Journal Entries or Submissions. To start the course click on the first item.
- When you have completed a reading click the finished link at the bottom of the page to return to the syllabus page. You can return to a lesson or journal entry/submission at any time.
- After reading the lesson select the journal entry/submission for the lesson.
- After answering the questions be sure to click the save link at the bottom of the page.
- When you have completed your work click the Logout link at the top of the page.
Tips
- Your homepage lists the class or classes assigned to you.
- You may work on one class or multiple classes at the same time.
- Only you and your teacher will see your work. This is your personal “learning lab”. Make the most of your time!
- Take your time and complete the journal entries, submissions and tests to the best of your ability
- Log out of the system after each session.
- If you do not logout the system will automatically log you out after 20 minutes.
